On September 14th, the China-Zambia Investment Promotion Event hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Zambia was held in Beijing. Members of the Zambian delegation, leaders of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia, and key leaders of 9 invited enterprises participated in the event. The President of Zambia, Hakand Hichilema, and Deputy Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Gou Ping, attended the event and delivered a speech. Chairman Xi Zhengping of China Nonferrous Metals Group presided over and delivered a speech. Wang Haoyu, Chairman of Dayu Irrigation Group, was invited to attend a dinner party and pay a visit to the President Hakand Hichilema. At the same time, the Zambian delegation was invited to visit Dayu Irrigation Group.
On the morning of September 16th, Mr. Hon Reuben Mtolo, Minister of Agriculture of Zambia, Mr. Sichizuwe Musokotwane, Director of Economy and Commerce, Dr. Chizumba Shepande, Director of Agriculture, Mr. Eng. Fanizani Phiri, local government official led a visit to the Tianjin headquarters of Dayu Irrigation Group. Mr. Wang Chong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Dayu Irrigation Group, Mr. Gao Zhanyi, Chief Scientist of Dayu Irrigation Group and Director of Research Institute, Mr. Zhang Xueshuang, Chairman of Supply Chain Company, Ms. Tao Ying, General Manager of International Business Unit, and Mr. Fu Shuai, Deputy General Manager of International Business Unit of Supply Chain Company accompanied the reception.
The guests first visited the cultural exhibition hall of Dayu Irrigation Group’s Tianjin headquarters, agricultural smart greenhouse, prefabricated water storage tank testing base, drip irrigation workshop, gate workshop testing base, and research institute laboratory. In the cultural exhibition hall, the minister heard our mission of Dayu, “Make agriculture smarter, rural areas better, and farmers happier, Make the Countryside Better, Make the Farmer Happier” and repeated it loudly many times. The director consulted in detail about the production process, parameter indicators, and raw material situation of drip irrigation belts in the drip irrigation belt workshop. At the experimental base, the Minister praised Dayu for his continuous innovation and pragmatic spirit in water-saving.
Subsequently, both sides engaged in open, frank, and in-depth communication. This symposium mainly took the Zambia agricultural project as an opportunity to promote a comprehensive strategic cooperation relationship between the two sides.
During the meeting, Mr. Hon Reuben Mtolo, Minister of Agriculture of Zambia, first mentioned the historical origins of Chin
